Acting Assistant Governor/General Manager of Financial Stability
Angus McGregor is the Acting Assistant Governor and General Manager of Financial Stability. In this role Angus leads the Reserve Bank of New Zealand’s Financial Stability Group, with responsibility for the prudential regulation and supervision of the financial system.
Angus joined Te Pūtea Matua in 2022 as the Director of Specialist Supervision.
Angus brings more than 2 decades of senior leadership and regulatory experience to the role. Before joining us, he was Global Director of Legal and Risk at international law firm Linklaters LLP in London, heading up the in-house legal, regulatory compliance and risk management teams.
Angus started his career at Russell McVeagh in Wellington. He has an LLB (Hons) and BA from Victoria University of Wellington – Te Herenga Waka.
