The Reserve Bank of New Zealand – Te Pūtea Matua, the Financial Markets Authority (FMA) and the European Securities and Market Authority (ESMA) have updated their Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in respect of the oversight of Central Counterparties (CCPs). The MoU was first signed in 2017 and its update affirms the willingness to cooperate and exchange information to fulfil the respective supervisory and regulatory responsibilities.
