General terms
What is the purpose of this agreement?
The purpose of this Agreement is to document how you will participate in and provide RBNZ with information relating to the use of the Depot in a cash trial being run by RBNZ. This Agreement will become active when you receive confirmation that you are successfully registered.
Services
What activities will you participate in?
For the term of this Agreement, as these services are available, you agree to:
- Deposit, withdraw or exchange cash for your business or community group needs at the Depot for the duration of the trial;
- Ensure that only you and employees of your business or community groups use the access fob provided to you to access the Depot and store the access fob securely;
- Ensure that if your employees are using the Depot on your behalf, that you have ensured that they have read the terms of this Agreement and agreed to comply with them;
- Comply with any special requirements in relation to the Depot use that we advise you of, from time to time in writing.
What you won’t do during the trial
This is a research trial that is being run to inform cash needs in rural communities. You understand that the information RBNZ gathers about use of the Depot machines needs to be an accurate record to inform future cash needs. To support good information collection, you agree that you will not:
- Withdraw and deposit cash for your own personal banking needs or for any other business or community group not signed up for this trial; or
- Withdraw and deposit cash for friends or relatives; or
- Withdraw or deposit more cash than you would usually need for your normal business or community group operations.
What are you responsible for?
You will be responsible for:
- Providing the cash you wish to deposit (noting that the Depot will have cash available for withdrawals);
- Your own security arrangements relating to going to and from the Depot; and
- Handling and management of cash, and complying with your agreements with third parties
- Keeping your fob for the duration of your participation. If you lose your fob then you will need to pay $10.50 for a replacement fob.
Apart from the rights to use information (see below), we won’t have any right, title or interest in any of those elements, equipment, infrastructure, arrangements or agreements and we won’t be responsible for any of them either.
Payment
As this is a research trial, no payment will be made to you for your participation. We appreciate your contributions to help inform future cash needs in rural areas.
Health and safety
We take health and safety seriously. You and we each agree to comply with our respective obligations and duties under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015. You will respond to any reasonable requests we make of you, to ensure your and other’s safety during this research trial.
