Assistant Governor Enterprise Services
Kate Le Quesne is the Assistant Governor Enterprise Services. In this role, she is responsible for the enterprise-wide services and functions of Te Pūtea Matua, which support the delivery of the central bank’s mandate. She leads the Strategy Enablement, Stakeholder Engagement, Risk, Compliance, and Audit, Governance, and Special Projects functions.
Kate joined Te Pūtea Matua in 2020. She was previously Director of Financial Markets, responsible for managing our balance sheet to meet our monetary policy and financial stability objectives. Prior to that, she was also RBNZ’s Director of Prudential Policy in the Financial Stability Group, responsible for prudential policy advice and research.
Kate has extensive experience in institutional banking in Australia, London, and New Zealand. She has also held a range of leadership roles at the New Zealand Treasury.
She holds a Bachelor of Actuarial Studies and a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from the Australian National University in Canberra.
