Andrew Turner
Director Programme and Strategy Delivery
Andrew supports the Assistant Governor/General Manager Money Group with oversight, strategy alignment and delivery of its work programme. This includes delivery of particular projects like the community cash trials.
This is Andrew’s second spell with Te Pūtea Matua. From March 2020, Andrew was a programme manager in Financial Markets, then as Acting Director of Financial Markets from April 2023 to September 2024. Between 2014 and 2016, Andrew was involved in a range of projects, including the procurement of our new real-time gross settlement system.
Andrew’s career includes management and leadership roles at Te Tai Ōhanga The Treasury, including with the Debt Management Office, the Ministry of Education, and the International Monetary Fund.
He holds a degree in accountancy from Victoria University of Wellington.
