About the webinars
Date: Monday 27 March 2023
Times: 2pm to 3pm and 7pm to 8pm
Duration: 1 hour
We’re consulting on a proposed approach to the opportunities and challenges from new forms of private money such as cryptoassets, including stablecoins. Our issues paper includes a video explainer, the full paper, and also provides links to our wider Future of Money — Te Moni Anamata programme.
We’re offering 2 webinar sessions designed for a general audience. The webinar will touch briefly on the connections between private innovation in money issues and our work looking at whether a central bank digital currency should circulate alongside cash, and also our work to ensure that cash and the cash system remains available for as long as New Zealanders need and want it, but these are not major topics for the webinar.
The webinar will not offer investment advice.
