About the speech
Financial stability means having a strong and resilient financial system that provides the financial services we all rely on, even when under stress.
Since 2004, the Reserve Bank of New Zealand - Te Pūtea Matua (RBNZ) has published a biannual Financial Stability Report (FSR) to outline its assessment of the soundness and efficiency of our financial system.
Christian Hawkesby will discuss financial stability at this event before the publication of the next FSR on Wednesday 3 May.
Any comments on monetary policy will refer to the most recent Monetary Policy Review and Record of Meeting published on Wednesday 5 April.

We will publish brief speaking notes on our website when Christian begins speaking at about 12:30pm. The exact time may vary.
