Every year the Minister of Finance sends a letter of expectations to the Reserve Bank. Here is the letter of expectations for 2022.

In line with accountability and transparency arrangements under the new RBNZ Act, the RBNZ Board replies to the Minister’s letter with a Strategic Issues Letter. This is published below.
