We have published an exposure draft of the Deposit Takers Bill for public consultation in December 2021. The exposure draft is a preview of the Bill for stakeholder feedback before it is introduced to Parliament.

We have prepared an explanatory note for the exposure draft to help stakeholders interpret and navigate the draft Bill. The note provides a high level summary of the exposure draft and draws readers’ attention to some questions we are particularly interested in industry’s views on, for example, about the implementation of the Depositor Compensation Scheme.
