We are required under Reserve Bank of New Zealand Act 1989 to provide the Minister of Finance an annual report and a statement of intent each year. The Annual Report presents our financial statements and a summary of our main activities for the last 12 months.

Our briefings to the incoming Minister
Whenever there is a change of government, we prepare a briefing to the incoming Minister of Finance on our role and functions. The papers are also intended to be useful information for other interested parties.

Our funding agreements with the government
We have a 5 yearly funding agreement with the Minister of Finance that specifies how much of our revenue we can keep to meet operating costs, with the rest going to the government.
