Biography
Marea was the Acting Manager of the Modelling and Research teams, and an Adviser in the forecasting team. She is currently on secondment as Principal Adviser in the Data, Statistics and Analytics Department, and has previous experience in macroeconomic modelling and macroprudential policy from her time at the South African Reserve Bank. She has an MPhil in Economics from the University of Oxford, and a MIT in Big Data Science from the University of Pretoria.
