The Reserve Bank consulted on proposed changes to the insurance solvency standards in response to the introduction of the accounting standard NZ IFRS 16 Leases. The amended standards also incorporated the non-life catastrophe risk charge loss return period and a requirement for the insurer solvency return to have a reasonable assurance level of audit.
The Reserve Bank informally consulted on the sign-off requirements of the insurer data returns.
