The Reserve Bank is recruiting for a new Head of Communications following Mike Hannah’s decision to leave the role after 16 years of service. Mr Hannah will remain with the Reserve Bank as Board Secretary, and is pursuing other opportunities.
“Mr Hannah has led the Reserve Bank’s communications team through periods of major change, and provided wise counsel stemming from his broad knowledge of government, industry, news media, financial markets and the financial system,” Assistant Governor and Head of Operations, Sean Mills, said.
“The Bank is fortunate to retain his wisdom and expertise in his capacity as Board Secretary.”
Mr Hannah will work with the communications team until 10 August. Recruitment for a new Head of Communications is underway.
