About the consultation
To complement our ongoing consultation on new bank capital adequacy requirements, we published a consultation paper on a framework for identifying domestic systemically important banks (D-SIBs).
The proposed framework is aligned with international practice. As per our proposed new capital adequacy proposals, D-SIBs would be subject to a capital surcharge vis-à-vis smaller banks.
The consultation paper sought views on the proposed indicator-based approach for identifying D-SIBs.
