The Monetary Policy Statement explained
Our Monetary Policy Statement (MPS) provides a quarterly picture of New Zealand's economy, how it is performing and where we think it is heading next. It is a snapshot in time, as the economy never stops moving.
This document is our main way of publicly reporting on how we are meeting our targets, including the goal of keeping prices stable and supporting maximum sustainable employment.
It sets out how we have been implementing monetary policy and how we plan to do so over the next three years.
