The Role

You'll be managing the Resilience Policy team which develops policies that support the resilience and efficiency of the banking, insurance, non-bank deposit takers and Financial Market Infrastructure sectors (all of which RBNZ are responsible for). As a team you will develop and maintain policies that will have a positive impact on these entities in terms of their ability to respond to future stress and crisis. This will include liquidity, outsourcing arrangements and the development of depositor protection and crisis response. You'll also collaborate internally with our Financial Policy and Dynamic Policy teams who are response for other aspects such as capital and solvency requirements, disclosures and governance.

About You

Given the dynamic policy development discussions taking place and the recent establishment of this team, this won't be your first leadership role. You'll also demonstrate the following capabilities:

  • policy development experience, combined with relevant financial services sector expertise and qualification
  • the ability to engage others, make sound decisions and encourage innovation
  • strong influencing and relationship management skills where you have worked particularly well in the past with external stakeholders
