Communications and Engagement Administrator
The Reserve Bank of New Zealand – Great Team, Best Central Bank
- Varied position combining your administration and event management skills
- Enjoy establishing and maintaining systems and processes to improve administrative practices
- Newly created Wellington-based position
Do you enjoy improving systems and processes to improve the administration of Ministerial requests and official information responses? Do you have experience in a similar role and enjoy seeing how your insights support multiple teams in your day to day work?
The Reserve Bank of New Zealand is New Zealand's central bank. Our vision is to be a Great Team and the Best Central Bank. We operate with passion, integrity, innovation and inclusiveness. Our main objective is to promote a sound and dynamic monetary and financial system and to ultimately raise New Zealand's economic wellbeing.
To best meet the communications needs that come from our clear vision, we have created a number of new Communications positions to bring on additional talent to join us on our exciting journey of transformation. We are building a full-service Communications Department that is focused on providing highly effective, multi-channel stakeholder communications in a rapidly evolving financial landscape.
You'll support the Ministerial and OIA Adviser to respond to requests for information within the requirements of the Official Information Act by systematically capturing and tracking requests. Working closely with the Media and Stakeholders team you'll ensure the delivery of the Bank's speech programme with a focus on collating requests and invitations for speaking engagements. In addition, you will support the Content and Channels team with organising internal events and administration of their systems and processes.
You will have strong administrative experience, ideally within a legislative environment. With a reputation for being switched on and comfortable prioritising a busy workload, you'll also enjoy being able to use your initiative. Each and every day you will utilise your strong organisational, problem solving and risk management skills and will thrive in a role where you can build strong connections internally (e.g. with our Department Coordinators) as you will liaise frequently on the availability of speakers.
We are a growing team of committed communication professionals who are supportive and focused in our efforts. While we have an ambitious plan to deliver, we know we'll have fun along the way, celebrate our successes and make the most of the rich opportunities for growth and learning.
Our work has a big impact on the lives of all New Zealanders, and we carry that responsibility with pride. If you'd like to join a team of professionals who are passionate about the prosperity and wellbeing of New Zealanders, and contribute to a sustainable and productive economy, we would love to hear from you.
