Kate Le Quesne
Director of Financial Markets
Kate joined Te Pūtea Matua in 2020. She leads the Financial Markets Department, responsible for managing our balance sheet to meet our monetary policy and financial stability objectives.
Prior to her current role, Kate was the Reserve Bank’s Director of Prudential Policy in the Financial Stability Group. Kate has worked in institutional banking in Australia, London and New Zealand, and held a range of leadership roles at the New Zealand Treasury. Kate has previously led the Portfolio Management team in the Financial Markets Department.
Kate holds a Bachelor of Actuarial Studies and a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from the Australian National University in Canberra.
