Sarah Owen

Sarah joined Te Pūtea Matua in 2022. She has extensive experience in governance, law, risk and strategy.
Prior to joining RBNZ, Sarah was the General Manager Corporate Strategy and General Counsel, Guardians of New Zealand Superannuation Fund. Before joining the Guardians, Sarah had senior legal in-house and private practice roles.
Sarah was a Director of Datacom Group between 2018 and 2021 and a Director of the International Centre for Pension Management from 2018 to 2022.
Sarah has a BA in History from the University of Otago and a LLB/DipACC from Victoria University.
