Rodger’s appointment to the new RBNZ governance board will officially commence on 1 July 2022. He has been contracted to work as part of our interim ‘transition board’ which is preparing for changes to Reserve Bank’s governance arrangements under the new RBNZ Act 2021.

Rodger is a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Directors, a Fellow of Chartered Accountants ANZ and a graduate of the University of Otago.

He is currently Chair of New Zealand Post, Crown Regional Holdings and listed company PGG Wrightson. He is also Deputy Chair of Rural Equities Limited, Audit Chairman of Ngāi Tahu Holdings and a director or trustee of several other New Zealand and internationally-based entities.

Previous governance roles held include Chair of the Independent Advisory Panel of the Provincial Growth Fund, Chair of New Zealand Oil and Gas and Kiwi Group Holdings, Director of Public Trust, and a Governor of Radio New Zealand.
