Favourites and Collections in Box File Transfer Service

Creating new collections and adding or removing folders from a collection, or your favourites.

A collection is a personal space in your Box File Transfer Service account, in which you can save links to folders to make them easy to access.

You already have a collection called Favourites in the left-hand navigation panel, which you can add folders to.

 

 

How to create a Collection

  1. To create a collection, click the + icon next to My collections in the left-hand navigation panel
  2. Give your collection a meaningful name and click Create

  3. Your new collection will now be accessible under My collections in the left navigation panel.

How to add a folder to a collection

There are two ways you can add a folder to a collection.

  1. From within a folder, click the Collections star icon and select the collection you wish to add it to from the drop-down list. A tick will appear in the check box.
  2. From the Box home page, drag and drop the folder onto the required collection listed in the left-hand navigation panel.
  3. Using either method, the folder will now be accessible in that collection in the left navigation panel.

How to remove a folder from a collection

There are two ways you can remove a folder from a collection.

  1. From with the folder, click the Collections star icon and unselect the required collection from the drop-down list. The tick will disappear from the check box.
  2. From the left-hand navigation menu, hover over the folder name and click the x icon.
