How to download a file from Box File Transfer Service.

In order to save or edit a file, you will need to download it from Box first.

When a file is uploaded into a folder you have access to, you will receive an email notification letting you know that you have a new task. There is no action to perform, this task is just for your information. Click on the “View the task” link in the email to go to Box and open that particular file.

Some RBNZ Users have the ability to share a file with other managed users on an 'as required' basis. If you have a file shared with you in this way, you will receive an email inviting you to view the collaborated file. Click on the “View file” link in the email to go to Box and open that particular file.

 

 

How to Download a file from a Box folder

  1. To download the file, hover over the document title to make the ellipses (or …) icon appear on the right
  2. Click on the ellipses icon and select Download

  3. When the download is complete you will see a notification, either at the top or bottom of your screen, depending on which Internet Browser you are using
  4. You will be able to retrieve your file from your Downloads folder.

How to Download a file you have open

If you have opened a file from Box and want to download it, you can click Download in the top right of the window.

How to access your Downloads folder

You can access your Downloads folder on your computer by opening File Explorer and selecting Downloads in the left-hand Navigation menu.

You can move the file from your Downloads folder to the appropriate location by ‘cut and paste’ or ‘drag and drop’.
