Coverage characteristics |
Data volumes are shown in millions of New Zealand dollars and interest rates are New Zealand interest rates. The data recorded on the Government Bond sheet are: A summary is provided of the transactions that have occurred since the previous month for the Government bonds. These include bonds sold in tender to the market, the RBNZ and EQC. Bonds repurchased by the RBNZ and any bonds that may have matured. Data is available on our website from January 2000. |

The securities on issue are released via electronic media as soon as possible after the end of the month. Our website is updated on the fifth working day of the month after the end of the relevant month. |

Although there is no law that requires the RBNZ to compile and publish historical data on NZ Government Securities on Issue, the data are disseminated by the RBNZ as a service to the public. |
