Biography:

Tim is currently an Economic Analyst in the Issues and International team, focusing on international economic analysis. Prior to this, Tim worked for two years in the Forecasting team, and held responsibilities for analysing the household and business sectors and the labour market.

Before joining the Economics Department, he worked in the Financial System Policy team, within the Bank’s Prudential Supervision Department. Tim joined the Bank in late 2007, after completing an Honours degree in Economics and Finance at Waikato University. 

Current research interests:

• Economic growth and inflation in New Zealand’s key trading partners
• Monetary policy
