Biography:

After completing a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.) in Economics at Otago University in late 2007, Chris has made his way to be a Senior Economic Analyst at the Reserve Bank. He spent his first two years in the Forecasting team, and has since moved into the Modeling team. Currently, his main responsibility is forecasting key macroeconomic variables, such as inflation, using a suite of statistical models.

Current research interests:

  • House price measures for New Zealand
  • Developing statistical models, notably developing a suite of models for forecasting house prices.
  • Combining forecast densities
