Biography:

Dean manages the Forecasting Team within the Economics Department. He is a member of the Bank’s OCR advisory group and is lead author of the quarterly Monetary Policy Statement.

Dean’s previous positions include:

• Treasury Economist, Bank of New Zealand (2004-06)
• Economic Analyst, Reserve Bank of New Zealand (2001-04)

Dean studied economics at the University of Canterbury.
