Biography:

Satish currently works in the Bank’s Issues and International Team where he monitors developments in our trading partner economies. He has previously spent time in the Bank's forecasting team where he worked on inflation, labour markets, business investment and net exports.

During his time at the Bank, Satish   has examined the accuracy of the RBNZ's forecasts, as well as the relationships between inflation, inflation expectations and survey data. He has also done work on the possibility of currency union between New Zealand and Australia.

Current research interests:

• Issues relevant to growth and inflation in New Zealand's trading partner economies.
