The NZCSD flyer
No 87 - April 2002
Introduction
The NZCSD Flyer provides our customers with a series of brief notes about current matters of interest to both Registry customers and Austraclear members.
Each item usually includes a reference to the person or section to whom further enquiries should be directed. However, please also feel free to contact Peter Katz (00 644) 471 3711, email katzp@rbnz.govt.nz, on any Austraclear issue or Barry Norton (00 644) 471 3682, email nortonb@rbnz.govt.nz on Registry business.
Financial Services Group Customer Service Contacts
An update of the Financial Services Group customer contacts is attached - Austraclear Business, Registry Business, RTGS Help Desk and Account Enquiries.
We would appreciate your making copies of these contacts available within your organisation.
Please note that the number (04) 471 3703 is no longer associated with any Austraclear queries.
If you have any further queries relating to the contact list please contact the Austraclear Help Desk on (04) 471 3897.
Corporate Actions via Sub-register
Members are advised that all Corporate Actions, except proxies, that are sent out via the Computershare sub-register should be returned to Austraclear (Fax No. (04) 471 3612, not directed to the registry, unless specifically advised by Austraclear to do so.
Advices sent directly to the registry risk not being collated as part of the NZCSD total and therefore there is a risk such advices will not be included in NZCSD payments or share allocations for the action.
If you have a specific reason for your holdings to be excluded from NZCSD for a corporate action, you will need to uplift the holding and make a claim under another name.
Please contact Adrienne Barlow on (04) 471 3629 if you have any queries on this matter.
Brokerage Fees
We would like to advise members of our position with regards to payment of brokerage by a company in regards to a corporate action.
As NZCSD is the registered holder, all elections/applications returned to NZCSD are collated into one document and authorised by NZCSD signatories before being forwarded to the registry/company involved.
Therefore, any application stamped for a brokerage claim will not be forwarded onto the registry/company.
A member eligible to receive brokerage, is advised to uplift its holding from NZCSD and apply for brokerage under its own name.
If you have any further queries relating to the contact list please contact the Austraclear Help Desk on (04) 471 3897.
