List of registered banks in New Zealand (and their date of registration and credit ratings)

This page constitutes the register of registered banks under section 69 of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Act 1989. The banks whose names are listed on this page are currently registered banks in New Zealand.

The registered banks’ credit ratings, also shown on this page, are applicable to long-term unsecured obligations of the registered bank, payable in New Zealand and in New Zealand dollars. The ratings shown are either as disclosed in the bank's most recently published Key Information Summary or any subsequent change to the ratings that the Reserve Bank has become aware of since the publication of the bank’s most recent Key Information Summary. The Reserve Bank has made reasonable efforts to ensure that a rating recorded on this page is the most up to date rating applicable to the bank concerned, however the Reserve Bank cannot guarantee that a rating will be the most up to date in all circumstances.
