The Insurance Oversight team within the Prudential Supervision Department is responsible for implementing the Bank’s oversight and supervision of insurers.

Developing prudential policy for the insurance sector is undertaken by two policy teams in the same Department.

The three teams work closely together to ensure the maintenance of a sound and efficient insurance sector in New Zealand.
