Judging criteria: Presentations

Use the presentation time to discuss in more detail some of the most important aspects of your decision and factors driving your decision – the judges will have read your statements so try not to repeat these word-for-word.

A presentation tip sheet has been provided as a guide.

Judges will be looking for:

  • a logical structure to your presentation – your presentation may follow the structure of your report, but it doesn’t have to, as long as you are convincing
  • a good use of appropriate charts that are well presented (so the judges can read them) – charts are a very useful way to present ideas and a great basis for discussion

It’s great to see students who are prepared to talk ‘off the cuff’ based on key ideas. But if you’re really not comfortable with that, reading from a prepared speech is OK.
