Presentations

If the judges select your team as a regional finalist, your team will make a presentation about your interest rate decision to them at the regional finals.

The presentation is a chance for your team to present its reasoning for the interest rate decision that was submitted in the 1000 word written statement.

Presentations must be no more than 10 minutes long and must be undertaken by the team's Governor. A judge will give your team a signal at the eight-minute mark, after which your Governor needs to start to wrap up the presentation. If you significantly overrun the allotted time, you will be marked down by the judges.

A laptop, data show projector and screen will be available at each venue for PowerPoint presentations. We prefer you to use PowerPoint for your presentation, however, if you would like to use transparencies please contact Alison McKessar on 04 471 3607 and we will arrange for an overhead projector to be available.

Your team’s Powerpoint presentations must be emailed to mpc@rbnz.govt.nz by 5.00pm Tuesday, 4 August 2009. Your Powerpoint presentations are your intellectual property and will stay within the Bank.

All members of your team must be present at the regional/national final and be available to answer the judges' questions following the presentation.
