How to enter

The Monetary Policy Challenge competition is open to any secondary school in New Zealand. Each school can enter one team and all members of that team must be enrolled at the school as students.

Getting a team together

Your team must have between three and five students, with one of you acting as the Governor. A teacher needs to accompany your team to the regional heats and the national final, should your team go through.

Other students at your school can help your team research and prepare the Monetary Policy Statement, although only team members can present at the regional and national finals.

You must not change the members of your team during the competition and all team members must be present at the regional/national final and be available to answer questions following your presentation. These requirements will only be waived in exceptional circumstances and with the prior agreement of the Bank.

Employees and relatives of employees of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand may not participate.
