The Monetary Policy Challenge runs from March to September each year. The calendar below outlines the important dates for this year’s competition. Please note: This calendar is subject to change.

Last day for submitting Monetary Policy Challenge entry forms. |

19 April 2013 (term one ends) – 6 May 2013 (term two starts) |

Teams’ monetary policy (1000 word) decisions are due by 5.00pm. |

26 June 2013 |
Schools that have made it to the final for their region are informed. Schools’ names put on the Monetary Policy Challenge Website. |

PowerPoint or OHP (transparency) presentations to be sent to mpc@rbnz.govt.nz by 5.00pm. |

Regional final presentations take place nationwide. Teams will be notified of any changes to venues. |

National finalists announced and posted to the website. |

National final presentations in Wellington at the Reserve Bank. |

Reserve Bank hosts challenge winner on Monetary Policy Statement release day. |
