Mike Wolyncewicz is a New Zealander and during the last eleven years has held senior finance roles with At Work Insurance Limited, where he was Chief Financial Officer, and with Bank of New Zealand.

Mike helped establish At Work, which was a state-owned enterprise that competed in the workers compensation insurance industry prior to the industry reverting back to the Accident Compensation Corporation. His main accountabilities included planning, capital management, funds management, risk management and financial reporting.

As Head of Accounting and Compliance at the Bank of New Zealand, Mike was responsible for the Bank’s financial accounting and financial operations, as well as for regulatory compliance functions. Previously, as Head of Corporate Services for the Bank’s insurance and funds management group, Mike’s responsibility included all aspects of this group’s finances including tax planning and compliance, industry representation, strategic development and information technology.

Prior to joining the Bank of New Zealand, Mike was a senior tax manager with one of the then “big 8” accounting firms.

Mike’s qualifications include: BCA (hons), CMA and CA.

Mike is married to Jane and they live in Lower Hutt with their three children. He is an avid golfer.
